While it is not yet released as the usual listings of games are, Super Smash Bros. Ultimate is out this Friday (Dec. 7). As I am extremely excited for this game I’m taking every opportunity to talk about it. So here I am, once again talking about it.
If you’ve been living under a rock and are confused to why there’s so much hype surrounding this game I’ll do my best to break it down for you. There’s 69 playable characters that will be available at launch with Piranha Plant as the currently only announced DLC fighter that will be available sometime in January. There will be a total of 5 more DLC fighters coming out later in 2019. As to who they are Nintendo hasn’t announced yet.
There’s 108 stages that all have the options to play in battlefield mode, or in Final Destination mode. Meaning that they can be their normal selves or be a flat platform with three small platforms above it (battlefield) or be just the base flat platform (Final Destination). This ends up bringing the stage count to 324 total stages.
If you’re still not convinced about Smash come back on Thursday (12/6) to check out the GenericGamingPodcast.MP3 all about Smash. The episode releases at 10 a.m.

Made by Giant Squid Games Abzu is a beautifully serene experience through the underwater worlds of the ocean. If you played Journey in the past it is much of the same experience just underwater. Abzu is one of my personal favorite games and I thoroughly enjoyed my experience with it when it came out on PS4.

Ever do crack? No, well Ark: Survival Evolved is the video game equivalent to crack. At least for me it is. I’ve put in close or perhaps surpassed 1,000 hours of game time for this game on PS4 then switched over to PC where I am now coming close to having 100 hours of gameplay. Point is, I hate this game, I hate the fact that I have wasted so much of my life playing this game, but guess what I’m still going to go play tonight. Now the game is on Switch, will I play it there too? I say no, but I’ll probably end up playing here in a relapse.

This game will have you grinning from ear to ear as you go around kicking ass and taking names in this beautifully animated game. I am the Hero has incredibly beautiful pixilated graphics combined with artistic 2D animation. The game also has a co-op mode so you can go around beating up thugs with your friends.

The Switch is at its best when used as a multiplayer machine. As is evident by Super Smash Bros., Mario Kart, etc. Screen Cheat Unplugged is yet another super fun game to sit on your couch and go head to head with your best friends or family. In Screen Cheat the entire purpose is to be looking at the other players screens as every player is invisible so they only way to find them is based of their location in their screen.
